Senior Wellness Testing
Once your pet is over 7 years of age, we recommend they have a full health check every six months. A senior wellness examination includes collecting a thorough patient history, a full nose-to-tail physical examination, age-specific nutritional advice, treatment recommendations and advice for arthritis and other age-related conditions.
We also recommend annual blood, urine and faecal screening to assess your pet’s internal organ functions.
Common conditions associated with ageing include:
- Arthritis and mobility issues
- Liver and kidney disease
- Incontinence
- Heart disease
- Diabetes
- Weight loss or weight gain
- Cognitive dysfunction (dementia)
- And cancer
