Dr Michelle Trevan

Get to know Dr Michelle Trevan, Practice Owner and Principal Veterinarian at Northern Beaches Vet Clinic.

Q: What are you most looking forward to when the clinic opens?
A: Building relationships with our clients and being able to help their furry family members.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: From as young as five or six, I was saying I wanted to be a vet. I used to watch Dr Harry and say, one day that’s going to be me! In an interesting turn of events, I actually ended up working in Dr Harry’s practice in Launceston for about 12 months, while we lived in Tasmania.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: We have three! Two beautiful golden retrievers – our old boy Charlie, who’s 14 and our cheeky girl Indi, who’s two. Plus, Lollipop Pumpkin Socks, our street cat from Tasmania, who was named by our children.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: Crossfit, mountain-biking and boating!

Get to know Aiden, Practice Owner and Manager

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the NBVC team?
A: I am looking forward to being able to work fulltime in our business, with a great team and client base. Having spent nearly 20 years working for corporate businesses, it’s very exciting to be able to work in something that has been a long-held dream of ours.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I’ve always had dogs growing up, but it wasn’t until Dr Michelle and I met at university that I knew we had to have our own clinic one day. The business took a very long time to come to fruition, but I couldn’t be happier to be working fulltime in our clinic.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: We have 3! A 14-year-old Golden retriever called Charlie who’s now completely def. We have a 2-year-old Golden Retriever called Indi and a Rescue Cat that we acquired while living in Launceston called Lolli-pop Pumpkin Socks 46….

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I love doing anything that involves water, I am keen fisherman and really enjoy spending time with my family out on our boat. I also try to stay fit and healthy through regular Crossfit and Mountain Biking.

Dr Anita Morianos

Get to know Dr Anita Morianos, one of our amazing veterinarians.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the NBVC team?
A: I am so excited about the clinic’s vision around fear-free veterinary treatment, top quality medicine and surgery, investing in client communication and providing new services to the community. Working alongside Dr. Michelle and her team is a real privilege.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I was 5 years old when I decided I wanted to become a vet, after witnessing another vet save my cat Ronny from a car accident. Ronny was my first pet and he came from the local butcher! There have been many pets between Ronny and my current pets, including ducks, chooks, guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep, horses, goats, fish and calves!

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: I (currently) have five pets! Three dogs – one Golden Retriever called ‘Finn’, an Italian Greyhound ‘Emmy’ and a Kelpie X ‘Koda’.

I also have two cats, Zahlia is a rescue I hand-reared with my children from a few days old and I have a Ragdoll ‘Tundra’.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I am an avid runner and I love getting outdoors into nature, especially trail running. I enjoy participating in community events like the Great Pyramid Race and the Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival. I also am a keen diver and love getting out on the reef when I can.

Dr Chad Marais

Get to know Dr Chad Marais, one of our amazing veterinarians.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the NBVC team?
A: I am looking forward to the work life balance provided at NBVC and to be working with a good team. I am excited about adopting the FEAR FREE approach to Veterinary care.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I grew up in Johannesburg and from a young age I was always helping my mom with rescue animals. Once I reached high school, I decided I wanted to be a Veterinarian and went on to complete my studies at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: I have two border collies – Chase and Storm. My wife and I brought Chase with us from South Africa when we immigrated in 2020.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I love the outdoor lifestyle and weather in Cairns. I enjoy fishing on our jet ski, mountain biking, playing golf and walking our dogs on the beach.

Zan Bartlett

Get to know Zan Bartlett, one of our exceptional veterinary nurses.

Q: What are you most looking forward to when the clinic opens?
A: Creating great professional relationships with our clients and patients, meeting all of the new faces in the area and working in the excellent environment Michelle has put together.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I grew up on a farm in South Africa with lots of animals that I was constantly “doctoring” and sneaking inside the house for cuddles.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: I have two cats. 7-year-old Jigga who thinks he is a dog and 6-year-old Shady who has real ‘cat-titude’ but will allow snuggles. Then there is a 6-month-old American Staffy named Tilly Tater Tots (no, our kids did not name her). She will lick you to death if you let her!

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: Being outdoors, boating and spending time with my husband, family and friends.

Q: What are you most looking forward to when the clinic opens?
A: Meeting all the new furry patients.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: When adults started to ask me “what I wanted to be when I grew up”.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: 4 pets – Jack, a 6 yo Jack Russell Terrier x; Mya and Lilly, 9 & 11 years old, both Ragdolls and Zsa Zsa, a 3 year old Frenchie.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: Scuba diving, boating & fishing and animal rescue.

Natasha Geoghegan

Get to know Natasha Geoghegan, one of our amazing veterinary nurses.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being apart of the NBVC team?
A: Working with an amazing and caring team aswell as meeting all the wonderful clients and their fur babies.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I always wanted to work with animals after growing up surrounded by horses and dogs. It did take me awhile to come back around and do my dream job, but I’m finally here and with the most amazing team, and loving every minute!

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: We have 2 dogs, my old geriatric girl Ryder and Patch a cattledog pup. Palin the worlds most cuddliest cat. 2 huge Oscar fish, and 3 hermit crabs 🤣

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: Spending as much time as I can with my kids, they are growing too quickly. I love a good day out on the reef doing some competitive fishing!

Vicki McDonald

Get to know Vicki McDonald, Northern Beaches Vet Clinic’s Receptionist Extraordinaire!

Q: What are you most looking forward to when the clinic opens?
A: Getting to know our clients and their beloved pets in a professional and welcoming manner. Forming lasting relationships. Providing exceptional customer service.

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. I grew up with a love of animals, and my home has always been filled with fur babies. The companionship and unconditional love an animal provides fills my life with so much joy, satisfaction and enrichment.

Q: How many pets do you have?
A: We have Ringo, a 9-year-old golden retriever, plus a variety of freshwater fish, including angelfish and clown loaches.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I enjoy spending time with my family, going on hikes or finding new swimming
waterholes. I have a deep love for bike riding and go on many social pack rides in our beautiful surrounds.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the of the NBVC team?
A: I’m looking forward to being apart of a team that truly goes above and beyond for their patients.
 
Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: Since I was a very little girl. I have been surrounded by a range of animals my entire life and I would love nothing more than helping and caring for them.
 
Q: How Many pets do you have?
A: I have 2 dogs, Leila is a red nose Pitbull that is the biggest sook you will ever meet and Tyson, our rescue baby who is a German Shepherd x Labrador.
 
Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I love exploring waterfalls, hiking, and just being outdoors with my fur-babies.

Tiffany Milne

Get to know Tiff, part of our exceptional nursing team!

Q: What are you most looking forward to when the clinic opens?
Being and Fear Free Clinic really drew me in as I want animals to feel safe and enjoy coming in to see us. I treat every animal like they are my own, with lots of love!

Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
I have always grown up with heaps of animals of all sorts from domestic to our farm animals. I have 2 vets in my family and I loved the farm routines with them and helping the animals feel comfortable.

Q: How many pets do you have?

We have, 2 dogs, Ruby and Livy who are both rescue dogs. 2 cats, Hunter and Lexi and 2 Guinea Pigs, Flash and Oakley.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
Anything outdoors, spending time with my family (Hubby and Kids) and my animals.

Jade Kilpatrick

Get to know Jade Kilpatrick, one of our amazing trainee Veterinary Nurses.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the of the NBVC team?
A: Being part of an amazing and caring team with the same goal of providing exceptional and fear free care to all our patients. I couldn’t ask for a better environment to begin my career in animal care with.
 
 Q: When did you first know you wanted to work with animals?
A: Since I was a little girl, I have always had a place in my heart for animals. Animals can’t advocate for themselves and I have found a huge passion within this area and wanting to do everything I can to give them the best life possible, just as I would want someone to do for me.
 
Q: How Many pets do you have?
A: I have a fifteen-year-old Cavoodle names Jezza that we got when I was 6 years old. He is basically the brother I never had as I grew up as an only child. He is losing his sight and hearing but definitely not his love for food!
 
Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
A: I love to spend time with my family and friends – This includes Jezza of course! I really enjoy the beaches in FNQ, when the weather is right you’ll either find me soaking up the sun or in the water looking for pretty fish.
